Here is a reason why this is true for most Americans.

This is what happened to me in grammar school.
It was a math problem
I understand how it works and most of the class understand how it worked.
A few students didn't so the teacher spent days trying to get the other students to understand.
She eventually gave up.
In the meantime, I got tired of waiting to move to the next problem. I just lost interest.
I started to slack off.

The teacher just kept on going. He put up the formula on the board not checking to see if the students understand.
The majority of the class failed and had to retake the class.  What a waste of my time I could have learned something else
instead I had to retake the class.

Pet peeve
English teachers
no standards one teacher tells you to do it this way another teacher tell you to go another way what's right.

The best teacher I had was when I went to college. He had over 200 students in his class every hour.
All he did was give us a book. We went through the book and if there was a problem we go see them at his desk.
We all learn at our own pace.
Nobody failed.

I believe in equal education and the federal government can provide it.
There is no reason why in this day and age of technology that everyone cannot get equal opportunity in education.

Think about this before your kids entered the school system.
They all had equal opportunity. They all watched or may have watched Sesame Street or other PBS shows.
They all got the same education from the same person.
I want to extend this to all the grades.
Create a video teacher and give it to students on tablets.
No complaints where they can't see the board or they can't understand the teacher (multiple video teacher teaching the same material).
The students will learn at their own pace.
If the student gets stuck on the material. The teacher or teachers can give them individual attention.

This is already being done on YouTube. I recently took an MIT course online.

This move Education to the Federal Level. All teachers will now be paid with federal dollar.
All teachers will be paid based on their hours of service.
This should remove the taxes on the local property owner and make homes more affordable.
Their pay will come from federal income tax.

It removes the taxes that states put on the home owner. This will lower the price or real estate and make homes more affordable.
Now if more people own a house they would have to upkeep the house so it holds value would that be better for the economy.

This also allows the ability to be home schooled. I think it should be the parents right to send the kid to school or keep them at home.
I think it's funny that teachers send the kids home with homework and the parent supposed to help them. Who teaches the parent they don't know or remember this stuff?

It also allows for private school as long as the basic is taught other programs can be developed to accelerate what the student is interested in.

I also been thinking these new schools will be federal building. These buildings should be open 24/7 and provide protection against nasty weather.
It should also be a 24/7 community center where people can meet join a club etc. It can have a 24/7 food court.
What about each building having a 24/7 library? Did I mention a 24/7 classes? This is the government helping people.
